The inner sheet shall be in the form of tray, having small notches in between. The outer profile sheet and the inner liner tray shall have 50mm thick average polyurethane foam insulation. The panel should be of required length and width with male and female edges on the sides. The prefabricated panel shall be fixed through the profiles directly to the purlins using seld drilling fastners with neoprene washers mechanically with the help of machine. Load span table for profile panel is as follows:
Thickness span 2.00m 2.50m 3.0m 3.50m
50mm 267/380kg/sq.m 175/249kg/sq.m 125/178kg/sq.m 92/131kg/sq.m
Above are safe loads in kg/sq.m UDL (single/multiple span) with deflection criteria of L/240; for wind loads a factor of 1.33 is applied to above.

HCC executes some of the exciting projects in India. These include some of the most challenging projects like Nimoo-Bazgo Hydro Electric project. NBHEP under the ambitious National Hydro electric project ltd. is a run of the river scheme proposes to harness the harness the hydropower potential of River Indus in Leh district of Jammu & Kashmir. The project envisages utilizing a rated net head of 34m to generate 239.30 GWH in a 90% of dependable year with an installed capacity of 45 MW, three turbines of 15MW each. This is equivalent to a plant load factor or capacity factor of 60.7%. Each operating unit will designed for a discharge of 48.7 cub.mtr.per second.
The project will be connected to the Northern Grid through a 220kv transmission line from Leh to Srinagar.
The project will be implemented under International competitive bidding by splitting the work into the three contact packages:
LOT1: Civil Works, including Diversion Channel, Concrete Dam and Spillway, Intake structures, penstock, Surface power House, Tail Race channel, Switch yard and other associated works.

Description of Project Components:
DAM:
A 57m high concrete gravity dam across the river River Indus with dam top at El. 3094m is provided above the deepest foundation level and consists of five spillway blocks of 13.0m each in the central portion, 5nos. non-overflow blocks on the left bank of 69.45m length, 3nos. power dam block on the right bank having lengths of 52.75m adjacent to spillway blocks. Right Non-overflow blocks comprises of four blocks having length of 60.70m. There are 5nos. radial gates of size 7.0*9.0m with crest level at 3065.0m.
The overflow section has been shaped as per the ogee profile with crest EL. At 3065.0m. The foundation cum drainage gallery of 2.0*3.0m size us provided in the dam body.
SPILLWAY:
The spillway is designed for flood equal to 4500 cumec with the reservoir at EL.3093.0m to pass design discharge with one way inoperative. The spillway is 65.0m long having 35m clear waterway with 6m thick intermediate twin piers and 3m thick end piers. The discharge intensity through spillway with u/s water level at FRL is 128.5cumec/m length of the crest. Considering the d/s tail water level, the topography and economy flip bucket type energy dissipater has been provided. A 15m wide apron is provided at dam foundation level to protect it from possible scouring.
Diversion Channel:
A trapezoidal channel with the base width of 20m has been proposed to divert the diversion flood of 2060cumec. The length of the channel is about 372m. The bed and the sides of the channel shall be lined upto1.0m above the water level in the channel. Bed level of channel at inlet and outlet has been kept as EL. 3055.0m and 3053.5m respectively.
Cofferdams:
Two cofferdams of upstream and downstream of the dam is provided.
Upstream Cofferdam:
Top level of the U/S cofferdam proposed at El. 3069.5m with a free board of 1.5m. The cofferdam has been placed so as to keep its axis at 67.0m from the axis of the main dam.
Down stream cofferdam:
The distance between the dam axis and the axis of the d/s cofferdam has been kept at El.3062.0m.
Intake:
3nos. independent intakes are located in the power dam blocks on the right side adjacent to the spillway blocks. Trash rock arrangement has been kept in front of intake to take care of entry of floating debris. Suitable bell-mouth entry is provided at entrance of each intake
Penstock:
Three nos. of steel penstocks of 3.3m dia take off from intake and run parallel to downstream slope of the dam before taking a bend near power house to feed three units of 15MW each.
Power House:
